Brand new TS-469 Pro "system booting" forever

Hi,

Merely today I've taken delivery of my make new TS-469 Pro.
Information technology was bought with 4x 4TB drives already fitted, so all I did was fit the additional two GB memory module (Integral IN3V2GNZNIX DDR3 1333MHz SODIMM), connect LAN and ability then fire it upward.
Later about 30 minutes, it is still sitting saying "SYSTEM BOOTING >>>>>>>".

Can someone assistance?

Cheers,
Kev.

Hi Kev,

Probably changed the some LAN port trunking configuration since the last kicking? 1 or two LAN cables continued to the switch? If there are two, give a try to disconnect one LAN, and power-upwardly again.

Regards,
-Kurt.

Hi Kurt,

Information technology has never been booted earlier - this is literally the first fourth dimension it has been turned on.

Using i LAN cable only?

Done and information technology works :D

Using a single LAN cable (at the moment) into NIC #1.
I deceit meet why this retentiveness should not be compatible - from a specification match it should exist perfectly fine.

Thank you,
Kev.

It looks like it has shipped with FW V 3.7.iii. Could the latest iii.8.i help?

Kev,

Beer Hunter wrote:I cant come across why this memory should not be compatible - from a specification match it should be perfectly fine.

DIMM and SODIMM specs are mostly incomplete - there is more than than the DDR3 and the maximum frequency - all 2 GB modules we know every bit working in the QNAP ARM NAS (or Cantlet based Netbook for example) are single rank, sometimes advertised as 1Rx8.

Beer Hunter wrote:Information technology looks like it has shipped with FW Five 3.7.3. Could the latest 3.8.i help?

Regarding to the SODIMM? Unlikely, as this is an Intel thing. Not much QNAP can practice here I'm agape.

Thanks to Dr. Google and Integral having a reasonable Web site with more consummate datasheets: Integral IN3V2GNZNIX DDR3 1333MHz SODIMM unveils it's a dual rank (Rank: 2) SODIMM - PITA, this information is but visible in the datasheet.

If your supplier is selling Intrgral - the single rank variant is Integral IN3V2GNZBIX DDR3 1333MHz SODIMM if I'g not wrong.

Reagrds,
-Kurt.

Hi,

A little bit off topic..

My 50 ct to that question:

I would never ever attempt iii.8.0/3.8.ane due to several problems e.g. reported in that location

viewtopic.php?f=142&t=66651&first=210#p313901

Unless the upcomming 3.8.2 is not a considerable improvement I'll stay save with 3.7.3...

The thread yous are referencing came to life considering of the long-standing bug not addressed in 3.8.0 - but non because of any new issues probably related to v3.8.0. And then non updating does non change that much.

...and expose an admin Spider web server vulnerable to XSS attacks to the internet for case? Not convinced non updating that smart.

Sorry, it appears some customs members converted the thread abroad from the constructive intention.

This may take been fixed by now merely I had the same effect with my new ts-269 pro and the solution was to remove the third party 2GB sick of ram. I found out what ram would piece of work without paying Qnap's ridiculous ram pricing, pm me and I will let you know.

I wasn't trying to be secretive, I but figured that Qnap did non want to have me undercut their overpriced RAM with lower priced options that role just besides. If you have a TSX69 Pro series NAS and would similar to add the boosted 2GB of RAM and not have the issue of the NAS not booting and running at 100% you need to get this RAM Kingston ValueRAM 2GB DDR3 1333MHz SODIMM Notebook Memory (KVR1333D3S8S9/2G) get only that part number every bit it is the just 1 that volition work.

I am experienceing exactly the aforementioned trouble later adding 2 gig of RAM. I have a TS-469 PRO. After much research, I purchased two Gig RAM to upgrade the unit to 3 Gig total. (2G Corsair CMS02GX3M1A1333C9). Later installing the RAM, the system would non boot (the LCD said "system booting" merely nothing ever happened, so I hooked up a monitor to the HDMI port and in that location was zero). Also, strangely, with the RAM added, the "esata" led was lit without anything in the esata port).

Does anyone know why this RAM causes the NAS non boot? It should piece of work fine.

The only thing that I have discovered is that it must have the same corporeality of modules on the front end and back of ram as the RAM that Qnap it'southward selling.

Look at how many of the positive reviewers are qnap owners:
